Telangana Assembly deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy on Tuesday cried following bitter comments against her by former minister and Congress Party MLA DK Aruna in the house. DK Aruna however, did not make direct comments against the deputy speaker. She made the comments against the chair in the house while participating in a discussion on the budget presented recently by the state government. DK Aruna said that those who did not have moral turpitude were running the house. After hearing this, tears rolled over the eyes of Padma Devender Reddy, who hails from Karimnagar district but settled down in Medak district.
The comments of DK Aruna have created ruckus in the house prompting legislative affairs minister T. Harish Rao to demand an unconditional apology from DK Aruna. However, the former minister did not budge to the pressure of the ruling party and continued her speech.
