-asks a woman to remove her Mangal Sutra
– the married woman prefers Mangal Sutra to Group-2 exam
The authorities of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) have played with the sentiments of Hindu women. The authorities asked a woman to remove her Mangal Sutra to write the Friday’s Group-2 exam conducted across the state. The incident took place at an exam Center in Bholakpur of state capital Hyderabad. A married woman came to Anjuman Society Center to write the exam by wearing her Mangal Sutra. The officials of the commission at the Center asked the woman to remove her Mangal Sutra to go inside the exam Center to write the exam. However, the woman rejected the request of the officials and preferred to not write the exam instead of removing the Mangal Sutra which is not only the symbol of her marital status but also believed to be a weapon to protect the life of her husband. She is not the only victim of the irresponsible decision of the commission but such married women faced similar situation at the hands of the commission’s officials across the state.
